Mark an Encounter Note as Entered in Error
1. Go to Medical Record->Encounters
2. Select the appropriate contact that was entered in error
3. Highlight text that you want to remove or move
4. Click on incorrect Contact (encounter) title
5. Contact Properties window opens
6. In Text Description field, type Entered in Error
7. Click OK
8. Click Save icon
If the incorrect encounter has a form, referral or prescription, they need to be deleted as well. To delete forms, referrals, prescriptions etc. that were entered incorrectly in the encounter:
1. In the right-hand side of the encounter, highlight the item that needs to be deleted.
2. Right-click the item (example shown below is a form but this can be done for other items such as prescriptions).
3. Select Delete from the dropdown.
4. Save the encounter.
Note: The encounter note that was entered in error is not deleted from the system. Instead, versions of that encounter note are saved in the system for auditing purposes. The most recent version (blank) displays when Reviewing Encounters.
View Encounter Notes Entered in Error
1. To review different versioning of an encounter note, click on the Version hyperlink
2. The Compare Transaction Versions window opens.
3. Drag and drop a version from the table on the left to the panels on the right to compare.
4. Highlighted text indicates differences between the versions.
