Problem
When a user opens a PDF document in Profile EMR (e.g., in Results), a yellow "Protected View" bar may appear at the top of the document. This bar can limit the information that the user sees in the document.
Solution
To remove the yellow "Protected View" bar from appearing everytime the user opens a document, they need to change a setting in Adobe Acrobat.
- Close Profile EMR
- Open Adobe Acrobat Reader
- Click Edit
- From the dropdown menu, select Preferences
- From the side panel, select Security (Enhanced)
- Unselect the Enabled Protected Mode at startup checkbox which turns off Protected View
- Click OK
- Close Adobe Acrobat Reader
- Re-launch Profile EMR
The "Protected View" bar should no longer appear when viewing PDF documents in Profile EMR.
