Background
Appointments in EMR are managed within the Work Center. The calendar allows clinicians to indicate when a client is ‘being seen’ and when the attendance is ‘closed’.
Navigate to the Appointments Screen
1. Click on the Work Center icon
2. Click on the Appointments to view the appointments
3. View your calendar of appointments. Use any icons listed below to change your view of the appointments.
Indicate your client is ‘Being Seen’ & Open Chart
These steps indicate that you are currently with your client and they are no longer in the waiting area.
1. Double-clicking on the appointment from the waiting area will open the client's Medical Record
2. Navigate to New Encounter either by clicking through the Medical Record window or through the icon in the toolbar. This action will change the client's status from Waiting to Being Seen.

3. Work within the client’s Medical Record as needed.
Close your client’s appointment
These steps must be executed after the client’s appointment has concluded.
1. Click on the Work Center Icon
2. Click on Appointments
3. Navigate to the Being Seen area in your Appointments screen
4. Right-click on the client name to view the right-click menu
5. Select Close Attendance
Note: If clinicians forget to Close Attendance, the day before's "Arrived" or "Seen" appointments are batch-closed by the system everyday at 22:15hrs. Ensure that Virtual and Outreach appointments, which are not Arrived by Front Desk staff, are manually arrived/seen by the booked clinician.
Batch close your attendances
At the end of the day, the clinicians must close all their appointments.
1. Click on the Work Center Icon
2. Right-click on listed patients from the Today view (rather than Appointments view).
3. Select Close all attendances
4. Confirm to close all
Book follow-up visit appointment for your client
1. Click on the Work Center icon
2. Click on Appointments
3. Drag and drop the client’s current appointment into the client holder box
4. Navigate to the next available appointment slot. Use the Navigation icons to navigate on your calendar.
5. Drag and drop from the client holder box to the available appointment
6. To create a new appointment click New
