Background
Profile EMR Read-Only users have the ability to read and gather collateral information on their clients in order to provide care. Read-Only access does not allow the user to document within Profile EMR. Providers with Read-Only access meet their documentation standards through the medical record system their team has in place.
Read Only Access allows the user to view:
- Client demographics, including family information
- Documentation such as lab reports, uploaded documents, past encounter notes
- Information pertaining to care team and past and upcoming appointments
Read Only Access does NOT allow:
- Adding to, modifying, or deleting information from the client’s medical record
- Documenting care, completing forms, letters or encounters notes
Email Notices
Profile EMR Read-Only users will be asked to provide a valid email address at initial login and every 6 months thereafter. Profile EMR team sends communications to Read-Only users via email, such as:
- outage notices
- important changes that may affect workflows
- Profile EMR Bulletins
When prompted to verify your email, please provide a valid email address. This field may be prefilled with information from Employee Directory. Please replace this email with a valid email if it is incorrect or no longer current.
Work Centre
After login, Profile EMR will open to Work Centre. Work Centre displays a list of Recent Clients. A client can be brought into context by making a selection from the Recent Clients list.
It is possible to return to Work Centre through the icon in the top toolbar.
Display Client
Profile EMR is equipped with the Display Client icon in the top toolbar.
Information pertaining to Next-of-Kin and past & upcoming appointments can be viewed in the Display Client window.
Past and upcoming appointments are found under the Bookings Tab
Next-Of-Kin information is found under the Family Tab
The information that is viewable in Display Client for Read-Only users is the same as the information available in Alter Client for those who have read-write access. For more on what is viewable in this window, please refer to our Zendesk article on Alter Client.
Encounter Notes Preview Panel
To access Encounter Notes, click on the Review Encounters Icon in the top toolbar.
Contact Titles populate the Encounter Notes Preview Panel (one row per title).
By selecting a Contact Title in the Encounter Notes Preview Panel, the corresponding Encounter Note will appear in the Encounter Notes window.
Scroll down to view additional encounter notes.
