Profile EMR sends all client registration data to PARIS and from there, it is sent to the provincial Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI). Newly created clients, who are new to BC or Canada, will be assigned a new PHN; however, this may take 24hours to show up in the EMR. If you need the PHN on an urgent basis, there are two ways to obtain it sooner:
- Check HealthNetBC on the HCIMWeb App
After registering the client in EMR, it may take up to 20 mins for the PHN to appear in HealthNetBC. If you don't have access to HealthNetBC, please follow this link for more information - Send request to VCH Community Data Quality team (vchcommunitydataQuality@vch.ca)
