Meds\ typing template has been updated.
Meds\ now pulls last 6 months of medication history from PharmaNet.
Three new optional fillable columns have been added. Now you can add ‘Verification’, ‘Comments’ and ‘Last Taken’ details to the medication table pulled from PharmaNet
If you make updates in the new columns:
- Your encounter will be titled Best Possible Medication History
- Medication table in the encounter will three additional columns with your updates-Verification, Comments and Date Last Taken
If you don’t add any details:
- Your encounter will be titled Medication Review
- Pharmanet Medication table with last 6 months of meds history wil be added to the encounter
Using meds\ Typing Template
Assumption: User is in an Encounter.
1. In the encounter, type some text. Then type meds\
2. Best Possible Medication History form opens which displays the medication data from Pharmanet.
3a. Medication Review
If no updates are needed and meds\ is being used only for medication review, click on ‘X’ or ‘Save and Close’.
This will title your encounter Medication Review and add the Medication History table pulled from PharmaNet in the encounter.
3b. Best Possible Medication History
- To document medication history obtained from the client (or their caregiver), enter details in the table.
- Select Verified with Client/Other radio button
- Click on three dots, select appropriate value in the Verification column
- Click OK button
- Enter Comments if any
- Enter Date Last Taken (Approx.)
- Click on Save and Close button after all updates are done
2. Click on Save and Close button. This closes the form, updates the encounter title to Best Possible Medication History and places the updated medication table in the encounter.
Note: Medrec Tool button has been added to the form as a quick way to open the Med Rec form. This step is not mandatory and is optional to use depending on your workflow.
