During scheduled PARIS downtime, the Profile EMR functions impacted are: EMR Client Registration, EMR/PARIS COVID-19 Alerts, PARIS Update, PARIS Quick View, PARIS Immunization Summary, other PARIS Alerts and the Community Risk Screen. Note: All other Profile EMR functionality will continue to work as before during the PARIS Downtime.
If you click the above listed EMR functions during the PARIS downtime, you will receive messages which looks like these:
Once PARIS is available again, these messages will no longer be seen.
Information and Resources to support your clinical work during the PARIS downtime period:
1) PARIS Client Registration module and the EMR Client Registration form will not work during downtime. If you have to register a client, record the information in the Downtime Clerical Sign up Sheet *
2) A COVID-19 Alert entered in EMR will not push to PARIS during PARIS downtime and likewise. Continue to record COVID-19 as a Problem (via the EMR COVID 19 Screener or the Problem list). When PARIS is available again, go to the EMR Client Registration form and add the COVID-19 Alert. This will push the alert to PARIS *
3) The Community Risk Screen and other Alerts will not import to EMR from PARIS. To document a Community Risk Screen, record it manually in the Downtime Community Risk Screen form *
4) For VCH clinics, record immunizations in the Downtime Record Immunizations given in Clinic *
5) If you are a hybrid clinic, and you document in both PARIS and Profile EMR, ensure you have the applicable PARIS downtime documents available *
6) PARIS Update will not work during downtime. Once PARIS is available, and the medical record is re-opened in EMR, manually click PARIS Update button
7) PARIS Quick View will not be available in the EMR. From EMR, access the PARIS Clinical Summary in CareConnect (includes Active Alerts, Current Services, Immunization History)
*Once the PARIS system is available again: stop manual procedures and begin to enter the information into EMR (Client Registration Form, COVID-19 Problem/Alert) and PARIS (Community Risk Screen, Alerts, Immunization etc.). The objective is to have all the information entered into the applicable system as soon as possible, ideally within 24 hours of the recovery of the PARIS downtime.
